The West Indies have named Richard Pybus as their interim head coach, with a replacement for Stuart Law to be sought later in the year.

Englishman Pybus, 54, is a former coach of Bangladesh and Pakistan and is currently the Windies’ high-performance director.

Law resigned last September to become coach of English county side Middlesex, and in a statement Cricket, West Indies said they would be seeking a long-term replacement from this September.

“The CWI board of directors have already approved a succession planning program for regional coaches and will simultaneously be conducting a regional search in order to appoint a long-term head coach for the Windies men’s team from September 2019 onwards.”

ST JOHN’S, Antigua (CMC) — Luxury hotel chain, Sandals Resorts, have replaced Digicel as the major commercial sponsors of West Indies cricket, in a two-year deal which will run until December 2020.

In a partnership announced Tuesday, the Caribbean brand will sponsor all West Indies representative teams from Under-15s through to the senior men’s and women’s squads.
